The dressing they have chosen to wear to occasions both private and public, the people that design it, and its label have become the points of discussion, creating both protests and tensions.

Besides, the rainbow of matching ensembles that she dressed also inspired her fans into flashy mob dances. Her arch supporter, Mitchell Obama has also played the role of the First Model during her time at the White House, often drawing curious eyes to her designers and what they meant to portray through her dressing. Talk of what cloth her dresses were made of and how it suited her build and persona have been a point of discourse amongst many fashion conscious analysts.

Fashion analysts have closely followed the accessory and clothing that Melania Trump and her step-daughter Ivanka Trump have adorned. Their clothing inspired the distaste amongst the minorities, immigrants and women who have been the subjects of derogatory statements that Donald Trump issued during the recent campaigns. But the same clothing have been fully embraced by Trump supporters who have seen him as the champion of their voices.
The women in power have turned the red carpet as their moment of fashion show. Their dressing is currently given political undertones, serving as both the point of inspiration or derision based on the side of the political divide that the fashion analyst belongs. What cannot be taken away from these women in power is the new significant role that they are playing to promote fashion ideas not just in America but also around the world.

Recently, the youngest Kardashian took to Instagram to share stunning photos from her latest Puma photoshoot. She signed with the brand in 2016, much to the disapproval of her brother-in-law, rapper and fashion designer Kanye West. Kylie walked in West’s Yeezy fashion shows, and the Yeezy shoes were created in partnership with Adidas, Puma’s rival. Naturally, West felt that Kylie signed with Puma would create a conflict of interest. West even took to Twitter to state that Kylie would stay with Yeezy “1000%,” and that the family would give Puma their “measly million dollars” back, alluding to the notion that Puma was trying to “divide the family.”
However, Jenner has decided to go through with the Puma deal, despite her brother-in-laws passionate tweets. And even though it seems that her decision caused a family rift, she’ll likely make a profit for Puma, since her photos are stunning. Kylie posted some of the looks from her photo shoot on her Instagram page, featuring her in a black athletic body suit, sports bra and patterned tights, mesh half-top, and of course, Puma sneakers in black and gray. Obviously, Jenner’s fit body make the ads more attractive as well.
The shoes are Puma Fierce Strap Swans, which are Puma’s collaboration with the New York City Ballet. The collection will be available online and in stores on February 1.
Whalebone Clothing was started by Jesse Joeckel back in 2010 with money he had saved from doing many odd jobs. He started off by designing and selling comfortable t-shirts with cool prints and logos. But Jesse soon realized that his business was only performing well in the summer and that immediately after Labor Day, sales plummeted. This was very difficult for him as he barely had enough money to open shop again in summer. He therefore decided to make Whalebone a year-round business.
His first attempt at this was setting up an online shop but this did not do much to boost sales during off-season as he did not have good marketing skills and was operating on a very tight budget. Montauk, the beautiful beach town where Whalebone is located, started becoming a favorite among tourists and this made the demand for Whalebone’s products skyrocket. Although this significantly boosted the shop’s revenue, Joeckel still felt like there was more that could be done. He therefore joined hands with Eddie Berrang and Bronson Lamb, who were both tech-savvy and very good at marketing, to re-strategize and improve the brand.
They revamped Whalebone’s online shop and made it more user-friendly and compatible with mobile devices. They also started making a digital magazine, Whalebone Magazine, to advertise the products and tell Whalebone’s story. Whalebone started making other products that could keep it in business all through the year. Their products now include specialty items and winter gear in addition to the cool t-shirts. In just a year of adopting these new strategies, Whalebone’s revenues have increased tremendously and it is looking forward to even more growth and expansion in the coming months.
Success in the fashion industry is about more than just having a great product. As is evident from Whalebone’s story, marketing plays a major role in boosting sales as it makes more people aware of the product. Thanks to their marketing efforts, Whalebone’s products, including the magazine, are now in demand all over the US and Joeckel hopes to go beyond the US borders soon.

Most stunning celebrities nail the look every time, where a few others totally miss the mark. It seems like we’re all fashion critics these days and expect the ultimate best from our favorite stars.
The 2017 Golden Globes showcased several amazing dresses on parade with famous faces like Reese Witherspoon, elegantly attired in a yellow strapless Versace. Emma Stone bedazzled us with metallic silver stars adorning her Valentino.
Then there were the sorry some with a posse of stylists from head-to-toe, who caused us to ponder why they chose that gown with odd embellishments, poor fitting and/or fabric overload. E! news dared to call out the bad ones, and we had our own list of the “not ready for prime time viewing.”
Hollywood’s finest females should always hit the red carpet exuding glamour and luxury wearing vintage frocks or fashion-forward pieces. Unfortunately, our list names three of the worst fashion offenders of the evening.
- Sarah Jessica Parker. For a woman celebrated by the media as a fashion maven, her white number failed, especially when it came to the weird-looking, off-the-shoulder drop sleeves and strange Princess Leia hairdo.
- Priyanka Chopra. The exotic beauty was dressed to the nines in Ralph Lauren, but somehow, the look was unsuccessful. The long-sleeved, deep v-neck gown was colorfully striking, but too tight and proportionately off.
- Carrie Underwood. She is rarely unnoticed, but this time, recognized for a bizarre, pale pink gown. The decolletage ruffles appeared on steroids, swallowing up her tiny frame.

This could give men ideas on styles they could wear. Also, men would realize that their fashion could be fun. The trick is to find the stores that sell the looks that are on the runway. Many department stores are going to stick to basics because there are a multitude of fashion designers that sell through these stores. The best bet for men would be to go to designer outlets so that they can find the styles that they want. Then they could create looks they are satisfied with.

The most important thing is that the individual is satisfied with the look he put together.

There are trends returning from decades of absence. The most important thing is to branch out and look into different stores. At the same time, there is nothing wrong with having a favorite store to default to. If the store has the style of desire, then it is a great place to shop .
Vegans don’t wear fur, wool or leather, which somewhat limits their fashion choices, however, unless someone lives in a cold region of the nation, fur and wool are not really necessary. Leather is fun though, and until now, there were no synthetic substitutes that didn’t look like cheap plastic. Phil Ross, founder of Mycoworks, is redefining fashion for vegans with his new leather substitute made from mushroom skin.
Durable, water-resistant, breathable and as strong as leather, Ross’ new material, mycelium, has the luxurious feel of leather, yet it contains no animal products. Textures grow into the mushroom skin to give it the appearance of cow or ostrich skins; even features such as zippers are grown right into mycelium, giving it a definite advantage over leather.
Mycelium will appeal to more people than just vegans; anyone who cares about the environment understands that raising livestock is a resource–intensive process, while mycelium incorporates agricultural byproducts, such as pistachio skins, that would otherwise go to waste.
Ross isn’t just making faux leather coats and wallets for vegans, he found that he can grow mycelia in a mold to fashion biodegrade bricks for buildings that insulates against sound and heat, are fire-resistant and are strong enough to stop a bullet. Along with Ross, co-founders Sophia Wang and Eddie Pavlu are interested in making furniture and building materials from reichi mushrooms; there is already a tea room in Germany made mushroom bricks.
Being stylish doesn’t just have to be for the younger crowd. Many older women feel that once they reach a certain age, their days of caring about what they wear and how they look should be over. This may come as a shock to them. It may be a welcome relief. It may be something that makes them utterly depressed.
