KAREN HAUER'S HUSBAND DELAYS WORLD RECORD ATTEMPT OVER HEART PAIN

Karen Hauer has given her support to her husband Jordan Wyn-Jones afte he had to delay his word record attempt after suffering heart pain.

Jordan, who suffered a heart attack when he was just 28, is attempting to make a 1,700km round trip from Brighton to Glasgow including 19 days of walking and running and 10 days of cycling.

Strictly Come Dancing star Karen reposted a video Jordan uploaded where he discussed his recent heart pain.

The dancer wrote: 'My love, this is just a pause and we are all here supporting you. Love you so much.'

In the video, Jordan told how he had to take 'precautionary measures' after getting the pain and doesn't feel his heart is strong enough to begin the world record attempt.

He said: 'So you would've seen yesterday that my commute went down and the live tracker wasn't available. There was something happening with me where my heart was hurting a little bit and I took precautionary measures without using my ego.

'And I contracted a local cardiologist and got some tests done. Turns out I needed to get some further tests and that's where we're at today.

'I will be needing to have respite. This means the world record is no longer on the cards but this doesn't meant the event is over so please bear with me for a day. T

'There may be some changes to the event but that doesn't mean it's over. My heart is not up to this task unfortunately, I thought it would be.'

Jordan previously damaged his heart when trying to complete a record in Australia in 2019 and then later had a heart attack.

He is now raising money for the British Heart Foundation with his world record attempt, with a goal of £100,000.

Karen and Jordan married in June of last year, with the dancer describing the ceremony as a 'fairytale' and gushed about how special it was to bring their families together.

Speaking to Hello magazine, she said: 'I haven't seen my family for the last two years so it's really touching to bring them here and be able to share this amazing moment with them.'

The couple got hitched at the five-star Chewton Glen hotel, an 18th century country house bordering the New Forest.

Karen was previously married to her former dance partner Matthew Hauer and later to ex Strictly Come Dancing star Kevin Clifton from 2015 to 2018.

Although they parted ways that year, they continued to work together until Kevin left Strictly in 2020.

After she and Kevin split, Karen - who is originally from Venezuela - insisted she would never date a dancer again.
