A person with gout should avoid consuming: 1. Liquors of beer and grain (like vodka and whiskey). 2. Red meat, lamb, and pork. 3. Meat organs such as liver, kidney, and gluten-containing organs such as thymus and pancreas (you may hear them called sweetbreads). 4. Fisher seafood, in particular, shrimp, lobster, crab, anchovies, and sardines. 5. Products high in fructose such as soda, fruit juice, cereal, ice cream, sweets, and fast foods.

People with gout should avoid consuming high & moderate purine foods, and high fructose foods. Avoid alcohol, especially beer. Such foods include: organ meats, game meats, fish and seafood, refined carbs, sugared drinks, yeast and added sugars.
