Firstly, you should start every day with a few light stretches for your back, as sudden mobility can help loosen joints and promote blood flow. When it comes to choosing footwear for the day, wear something with a low heel, as shoes with a heel over an inch can put stress on your back. If you work at a desk, you should do ten minutes of walking every day, as it will help loosen the tension in your back. If you do have to sit for long periods of the day, make sure to keep changing positions every half an hour and take breaks to stand up and stretch. During your free time, apply ice to your back to reduce inflammation, and apply heat afterwards to relax the muscles.
