Next, you can actually get the nerve damage from wearing ill-fitting high heels for an extended period of time. This happens when high heels are worn too tightly and when they eventually cut off the nerve stimulation in certain areas of your feet and trigger pain and numbness in your toes.
Finally, inflammation may be caused by wearing high heels that are too tight or restricting.
How to choose comfortable heels
Even though heels may be slightly detrimental to your posture and joints, there are some occasions when you might want to wear them anyway. In this case, it’s simply a good idea to purchase high heels that are actually comfortable and will do the least amount of damage to your joints and feet.
In order to choose high heels that are comfortable and won’t make your feet hurt, look for heels that have adequate cushioning in this sole. Likewise, make sure that the heels are big enough for your feet. And finally, always try the heels on before making your final purchase. If you notice even the slightest discomfort, don’t buy them. This discomfort will only get worse as you wear the heels.
